Overview

From February 28 to March 3, 2025, a 14-member delegation from Hong Kong participated in afour-day cultural and music exchange at Bangkok Music City Festival (BMC), Thailand’s
leading music industry event. The trip included meetings with key industry stakeholders, such as the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Bangkok, visits to local record labels, meetings at BMC with industry representatives from Thailand and the broader Southeast Asian region. These engagements facilitated discussions on music tourism, cultural exchange, and future
collaborations. One of the key highlights was Hong Kong artist achi’s showcase performance at BMC, which was attended by over 150 industry professionals. Another major milestone was the Hong Kong Music Industry Talk & Business Pitching Session, where music and tourism professionals explored Hong Kong’s potential as a music tourism destination. Through industry
discussions and networking, the event connected Thai travel experts with Hong Kong’s flagship festivals, Clockenflap, and live music scene, creating new business opportunities. This trip
positioned Hong Kong as a key music tourism hub and strengthened cross-industry partnerships between Thailand and Hong Kong.
